I have tried the principle you described and found the multiple sub menus were automatically opened due to the fact that that there are more than 40 hymns on the DVD. I needed to keep the chapters as I want the user to be able to flip through the hymns ans skip those that they don’t want to listen to at the time.

Thank you for your pointers as I used it to do the following…
a) I created a sub menu first with all the chapters linked to it
b) Then I created menus in the front of the timeline as there are 12 choirs and I found it to cluttered to have all on 1 menu
c) I added a “go to Menu2″ on menu1
d) I added a “go to Menu1″ on menu1 (this allowed me the functionality of skipping hymns (linked the menu 3 but never actually landing on it and having all 12 choirs on 2 menus as separate go to points
e) I enabled the “go back to menu after each chapter”

and Mary was my Uncle (no Bob’s in RSA)

Thank you for the assistance. I learned a lot in this exercise.
